FREEZEAre we being fair and realistic to expect that someone who has never worked in the private sector and is steeped in decades of public sector culture can retain the capacity and the desire to really understand the needs of the customers they are paid to serve?

Should we have fixed terms of employment for leaders in the public sector? Should public sector bodies swap out the leaders, directors and staff from their organisations into private sector businesses to help them understand what goes on outside their organisational bubbles?
